From Mijas Costa to NYC
From the secluded Mijas Costa two images are winging their way to New York City in February for an exhibition entitled My N*de Valentine @ Rogue Space|Chelsea
Breaking away from the comfort and tranquility of Mijas Costa Stick Woman 2 and Antonia – standing will brave the sub zero elements that are NY in early February.
These are two small watercolour paintings that have enjoyed a measure of success on the Internet and that will now make their “Brick and Mortar” debut on the 9th floor in the Garment District of Manhattan at 526 West 26th Street.
Will they enjoy greater success when they get there? Will some smart American of mixed African American/Jewish/Irish extraction snap them up and launch their creator into the heady atmosphere that is the US of Art or will there be a return journey to relative oblivion?
10-13 February will tell it´s own story!
You have until 06 February to see them live here in Mijas before they travel half way round the World!

ReJoyce Marbella 2009!
Bloomsday: - 16th June 2009. A Stroll Through Ulysses. An exhibition of Joycean paintings.
Private Preview: Tuesday June 16th. Contact me for further information/location/times.
Celebrity preview/reception: June 18th. Contact me for further information/location/times.
Public exhibition of the collection at the 1st International Art Festival of Marbella, which will take place from 11am to 11pm daily, 19-21st June. Avenida del Mar, Marbella.
Bloomsday - June 16th - is an annual celebration among Joyce fans throughout the world, from Fort Lauderdale to Melbourne. It is celebrated in at least sixty countries worldwide, but nowhere so imaginatively, of course, as in Dublin. The novel, Ulysses, by James Joyce recounts the hour-by-hour events of one day in Dublin - June 16, 1904 - as an ordinary Dubliner, Leopold Bloom, wends his way through the urban landscape, the odyssey of a modern-day Ulysses.
ReJoyce Marbella 2009!
Marbella: International Arts Festival, The dream of a group of dedicated art lovers in Marbella is now a reality.
From 19-21st June, the 1st Festival Internacional de Arte Marbella (FIAMAR) will showcase the talents of some 50 artists, photographers, sculptors, ceramicists and digital artists in a colourful, crowd-pulling street festival on the Avenida del Mar. Artists will display their work in individual white tents, and the street festival is expected to draw artists and public from far and wide.
The bustling Avenida will be covered with awnings to shield the public from Marbella's heady summer sun, and a children's activity tent will be set up to encourage the creativity of the younger art lovers. A VIP inaugural cocktail party will take place on the evening of 18 June for artists, sponsors and dignitaries.
Throughout the Festival - which will take place from 11am to 11pm daily, musicians, bands, mime artists and street performers will entertain the crowds and enrich the cultural experience of the festival, which is scheduled to grow into one of the most enjoyable and successful annual events in Marbella's cultural landscape.
